SW Homes
SW Homes is a residential property brand that required a new logo and foundational brand identity to support its presence across physical and digital touchpoints. The brief called for a striking yet minimal solution that would feel confident, contemporary, and instantly recognisable. A key requirement was to visually represent both initials, S and W, while clearly anchoring the brand in the housing sector. My approach focused on reducing the identity to its most essential elements, ensuring the mark would scale effectively across interfaces, signage, and vehicles, while maintaining clarity and usability within broader UX and UI contexts.
Requirements & Result
The challenge was to create a logo that felt bold and distinctive without relying on colour or decorative detail, while remaining flexible enough to work across physical assets such as vehicles and future digital interfaces. I explored the abstraction of the S and W letterforms and integrated them into a simplified house silhouette, creating a mark that communicates both brand identity and function at a glance. Given the client’s existing black van, the identity was designed in white for high contrast and legibility, with a fully greyscale palette chosen to reinforce a clean, modern aesthetic.
The final identity delivers a minimal, highly legible brand mark that performs effectively across scales and contexts, from print to UI environments. By prioritising clarity, contrast, and structure, the logo supports strong brand recognition while aligning with UX principles of visibility and simplicity. The result is a versatile, impactful identity that reflects SW Homes’ confidence and provides a solid foundation for future design work.
